SpacePOP rides with Six Flags, VideoBomb
Genius Brands’ tween property will be featured throughout Six Flag's theme parks as well as on the new music-themed VideoBomb app.
Genius Brands International has inked a promotional deal with theme park operator Six Flags that will bring SpacePOP branding and content to 10 of its US parks. The campaign is sponsored by VideoBomb, a free mobile app that will allow fans to incorporate their own content into SpacePOP music video clips.
The promotion, which builds upon a similar one forged between Genius Brands and Six Flags last year, will run from July 1 to September 16. It will include on-site trailers for the upcoming SpacePOP: Not Your Average Princesses movie as well as the brand’s music played throughout the park on Six Flags’ radio network.
VideoBomb, which is available exclusively on iTunes and features more than 47,000 music videos, will host a contest allowing users to win a trip to any Six Flags location. From July 13 to August 10, users will be encouraged to video-bomb themselves in SpacePOP music videos and share with the hashtags #sixflagscontest #spacepop #boom.
The Six Flags Over Texas Karaoke Stage and audience area will also be branded, giving fans a chance to sing along with five original SpacePOP songs.
Genius Brands’ tween-skewing brand debuted last summer with a series of animated shorts, apparel and a middle-grade book series.
